Senior Week!

Ever wondered what it's like to work with a non-profit foundation for a week? Local high school seniors Natasha and Louis were given the chance to find out just how much fun we have at CORE during their Senior Service Project! Huge thanks to Sts. Peter and Paul School for providing us with these awesome kids, and Aqua Action Dive Center for providing the use of their classroom!

During our senior service project week I worked with the CORE Foundation. Throughout the week I learned about web design and organization. We got to interact with dive professionals at different dive shops around the island, receiving feedback, positive and some negative from the lionfish project. This week at CORE I learned how to help and encourage others to help keep the ocean clean. -Natasha

Do you or your students want to volunteer with CORE? Just email us for more info!

The CORE Foundation joined forces with crew of Explorer of the Seas this weekend to clean up French Town!

Thanks to support from The Explorer of the Seas, Forever Flowers, Hook Line & Sinker, and VIWMA French Town got a deep clean Saturday morning with over 20 volunteers collecting trash from the roadside, parking lots, and water's edge. If you missed out stay tuned, Earth Day is just next month!
Our brave boys in rubber boots collecting trash!
Volunteers work together to get trash out of the "canal".
The iconic French Town view with a dash of VI Pride!

During the cleanup passers-by stopped to congratulate us on our efforts and asked how to help.

The answer is simple, volunteer at our next cleanup or click above and DONATE NOW!

Check out our Hefty dive! Thanks to our friends at The Frapper we were able to use this technique to remove two juvenile lionfish off the reef to use for educational purposes. Keep an ear to the ground to find out about future official CORE sponsored dives for our certified responders. They're great fun and you might end up in a video like this one!
