Scholastic Environmental Awareness Program

Get Involved
A Community Event
In coordination with the Sunrise Leadership Foundation, the C.O.R.E. Foundation is proud to further our mission of spreading marine awareness by directly engaging local high school youths to promote the positive values and practice of environmental stewardship right here in the Virgin Islands.
By offering an interactive curriculum developed in conjunction with other marine awareness education stakeholders, students are exposed to a wide range of subjects and hands on lessons regarding our local marine environment and how they can go about making an immediate impact within our waters.
Environmental Ambassadors
From the classroom, to the reef!
Later on, as students become more familiar within the world of marine awareness education, the VI SEA Program provides them with all the teaching tools and support necessary to become Environmental Ambassadors who go off to spread the message within their own schools and communities! For the goal of this program is not simply to educate local youth on the importance of marine awareness, but to empower them to educate one another for generations to come!

By way of utilizing high school students interested in marine awareness we aim to influence younger generations through their teaching efforts, as well as their own peers through observance, and ultimately engagement.
