Lionfish Educational Materials - Physical

Invasive lionfish education is an essential tool to inspire interest in preserving our oceans.
Since 2009, the CORE Foundation's Caribbean Lionfish Response Program has provided many different materials to educate communities and its visitors and provides interesting, while delivering informative information that empowers the reader to be a part of the solution.  Educational materials are distributed throughout the BVI, USVI and Puerto Rico tourist areas, community centers and environmental events.

Since 2009, CORE has provided educational posters on the topic of the invasive lionfish invasion in the USVI, BVI and Puerto Rico.  These 11" X 13" informational posters have been an invaluable tool to educate the local's of these territories as well as the 1000's of tourists that visit the territories each day.  Although this invasive species has been a topic since 1985, continuing education and expanding education outreach is essential.

Educational posters are utilized to educate about biology, population expansion, sighting contact information, what to do if stung and identification photos that differentiate between indigenous and invasive lionfish.
